IPS Flow Systems Achieves Bronze Carbon Literate Organisation Accreditation

At IPS Flow Systems, we are delighted to announce that we have been accredited as a Bronze Carbon Literate Organisation by the UN-recognised Carbon Literacy Project. This prestigious accreditation is a significant milestone for us, recognising our dedication to upskilling our team and empowering them to take a proactive role in reducing our organisational carbon emissions. It also underscores our commitment to working towards a zero-carbon future.

What is Carbon Literacy?

Carbon Literacy is defined as "an awareness of the carbon dioxide costs and impacts of everyday activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community, and organisational basis." The concept revolves around a day’s worth of learning and action on climate change, designed to equip individuals and organisations with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed decisions and take meaningful action.

Our Journey to Accreditation

Our Carbon Literacy training programme, expertly delivered by Richard Cook and Alan Spence, has been central to achieving this accreditation. Through this programme, we have equipped our team with the knowledge and skills to identify and implement opportunities for carbon reduction on an organisational scale. This collective effort is vital as we strive to maintain a low-carbon culture within our organisation and contribute to global climate goals.

Why This Achievement Matters

Being accredited as a Bronze Carbon Literate Organisation is an important achievement for IPS Flow Systems for several reasons:

Empowering Our People: This accreditation supports our team in collaborating effectively to identify and implement carbon reduction strategies across the organisation. By fostering a culture of sustainability, we ensure that every member of our team is actively contributing to our carbon reduction goals.

Commitment to Low-Carbon Culture: This recognition demonstrates our unwavering commitment to maintaining a low-carbon organisational culture. It reflects our proactive approach to sustainability and our dedication to integrating climate-conscious practices into every aspect of our business.

Driving Faster Climate Action: With this accreditation, we are now better equipped to drive faster and more effective action on climate change. By empowering our team with the knowledge and motivation to make a difference, we are able to implement more impactful carbon reduction initiatives.

Sustainability Leadership: Achieving this accreditation sets a positive example of sustainability leadership within our industry. As part of Indutrade, we are proud to lead by example, showing our peers and partners that it is possible to operate successfully while prioritising the planet's well-being.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate this significant achievement, we remain committed to our sustainability journey. Our Bronze Carbon Literate Organisation accreditation is just the beginning. We will continue to invest in our people, our processes, and our practices to drive meaningful change and work towards a zero-carbon future.

We are excited about the road ahead and look forward to sharing more updates on our progress. Together, with our dedicated team and supportive partners, we are confident that we can make a lasting impact in the fight against climate change.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey so far. Let’s continue to work together for a greener, more sustainable future.
